The Laundry attendant plays a crucial role in the presentation of the establishment by ensuring all textiles are well cared for and maintained. Duties & Responsibilities

• Receive, tag, wash, dry, and iron laundry using the correct equipment and settings.
• Follow garment care labels to ensure proper handling and prevent damage or loss.
• Clean additional items such as duvets, curtains, carpets, and workwear when required.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the laundry area at all times.
• Follow laundry schedules, safety procedures, and wear required PPE.
• Report equipment faults, maintenance needs, and safety risks to the supervisor

Skills and Competencies

• Knowledge of basic laundry processes, equipment, and fabric care.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high hygiene standards.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Honest, reliable, and safety conscious.

Qualifications

• Matric or relevant laundry experience.
• Previous laundry or cleaning experience is advantageous.
• Willingness to learn and work shifts as required.
