The successful candidates will be expected to:

  • Assisting with research and the timely gathering of news data.
  • Assisting with drafting news articles for both print and online
  • Assisting with editing and proofreading copy for newsletters, press releases, and website articles.
  • Scheduling interviews and collating written and electronic data.
  • Assisting with documenting and archiving news articles.
  • Assisting in covering public events.
  • Any other duties as assigned from time to time.

Requirements

  • Must be a third-year student in any programme of study under SHSS
  • Have an overall GPA grade of 3.0 and above
  • Demonstrated excellent writing and analytical abilities
  • Fluency in English and other local languages.
  • Good interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.
  • Should be willing to work on a voluntary basis and cover their own transport costs.
