Job Description

The Head,Intelligence is responsible for leading intelligence gathering, analysis, and reporting across Dangote Cement operations in Nigeria and Pan Africa. The role supports proactive identification, assessment, and mitigation of security threats to safeguard the company’s assets, operations, and reputation.

This position drives collaboration with internal stakeholders, including plant operations and Social Performance teams, as well as external partners such as government security agencies, to obtain actionable intelligence and ensure informed decision-making at the highest level of security leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • - Lead the collection, analysis, and dissemination of security intelligence across all Dangote Cement locations.
  • - Provide daily operational security intelligence reports and updates to the Group Head, Security.
  • - Identify, assess, and monitor security threats and risks affecting Dangote Cement operations across Nigeria and Pan Africa.
  • - Develop and implement intelligence-led security strategies to mitigate identified risks and enhance operational resilience.
  • - Collaborate with Plant Security Heads, business unit leaders, and Social Performance teams to align intelligence activities with operational priorities.
  • - Establish and maintain strong relationships with government security agencies, including Police, Military, Customs, and intelligence services.
  • - Coordinate intelligence-sharing initiatives with relevant stakeholders to enhance situational awareness and response capabilities.
  • - Conduct threat assessments for plant locations, critical movements, and strategic operations prior to execution.
  • - Analyze data from multiple sources to produce actionable insights that support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • - Monitor geopolitical, social, and security developments that may impact Dangote Cement operations.
  • - Prepare and deliver detailed reports, briefings, and presentations to senior leadership.
  • - Ensure effective deployment and continuous improvement of security intelligence systems and processes.

Education & Experience

  • - Bachelor’s degree in Security Studies, Social Sciences, or a related discipline
  • - Master’s degree in a relevant field is an advantage
  • - Professional security certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP, PCI, CPO, CSS, APP) are an added advantage
  • - Military or paramilitary background is desirable
  • - Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in security role within a government security agency
  • - Proven experience working with senior stakeholders and security partners
